 Hi, my name is Daniel Meek and I’m the author and creator of Got-Guts.com.
The reason why I started the Got-Guts! website is because I used to be so sick and tired of having too many bills with too little income. I’m a thirty something guy with a lovely wife, two adorable daughters, a mortgage, car payments, credit cards, and a golden retriever. I try to balance my career, family time, little league, church, and my finances in a sanely manner. Time keeps going by faster, my little girls aren’t so little anymore and my bank account… let’s not even go there.
For as long as I can remember I have had horrible spending habits. I had so many credit cards, loans, and medical bills that I hated to get out of bed in the mornings. Just giving my kids lunch money and filling up the car with gas became a change counting event. I couldn’t even answer the phone without it being a credit collector. I tried credit counseling, debt consolidation, and debt settlement companies but ended up with even more debt and heartaches. I tried all sorts of self-help programs, read countless books, and yet nothing worked.

A New Perspective
"The first few things you recieve when entering college is your student loan papers and a brand new credit card (it's amazing how many cards 18 year olds can be approved for). At first I was using my credit cards with caution paying them off every month, and then different events prevented me from paying them off every month. Then it got to the point where I was only making the minimum payments and then soon to follow having to pay late fees because I couldn't make my minimum payments on time.
